It seems you work forever to build a list and when you finally do, you realize that the only way to keep them and turn them into JV's or potential customers, you must have an autoresponder!

It's not debateable. It's a Fact.

Aweber is a probably the most popular and most well known among marketers and is a name you can trust. It can also be a bit pricey for those just starting out or who have a smaller budget to work with. I did alot of research while searching for my autoresponder. There are a few free ones that work well enough; however, you also have "Free Autoresponder" ads embedded in all of your emails. If you want to present a professional image to your potential or regular clients, you should invest in an autoresponder account for your business.

Getting Traffic to Your Website or Blog

Once you have developed your marketing niche website or blog you will then be faced with the huge challenge of getting traffic to it. SEO or Search Engine Optimization plays a major role in this and should not be ignored or underestimated. Be sure that your website or blog is "search engine friendly", submit your sitemap to Google, ensure your keywords are the proper balance and match your page content and start building your "external links" through link exchange and social networking. Google offers many great tools for webmasters to fine tune their site so use them!

One way to use free or low cost, traffic generating methods is to sign up at several good "surf for traffic" sites. Be careful, however; because Google will view many of these as falsely inflating your traffic counts and may blacklist your site if you make poor choices in your traffic sites.

With many of them, you can also build your list, email your downline and get paid/earn credits for referrals. They all offer custom splash pages to advertise and offer rotators. The number of pages you can include varies from site to site and I haven't had trouble getting my sites approved for rotation with any of them. I recommend all of them for increasing your traffic and encourage you to join them all for free! Kick the ole' tires a bit and then upgrade with the ones that you receive the best conversions from.

Anyone who has been in Internet Marketing for any period of time knows and has had this drilled into their heads over and over..."The Money Is In The List". If you are new to internet marketing, then you will soon learn this to be true. You can have the best website, a great product, a well tested advertising campaign, great support, etc, etc. but if you not have your own LIST, you are missing out on one of the most profitable marketing tools available to you and that is "Email". Email using an autoresponder allows you to connect with, form a relationship with, and share information about your products with thousands of potential internet customers. Spam is a terrible problem and if you have paid any attention to what arrives in your "spam folder", then you are probably wondering just HOW these people got your email address, right? Truth is that there are many iligetimate businesses out there in violation of Spam Laws or we would all just be receiving emails from people we have personally requested infomation from and of course, our friends and family. Although it seems that every "Tom, Dick and Harry" are blatantly getting away with spamming and you might ask yourself, "Why be concerned with it? Everyone is doing it!" Please do not risk losing your freedom, money to fines, etc. for spamming anyone. It's just not worth it. Only email people who have agreed to accept emails from you via an "opt-in" you provide or through lists that you have either built through online venues that are double opt-in. Always play it safe where email marketing is concerned.

How do I build my list?
If you have a website or blog, you can design a simple page offering visitors a site newsletter, a freebee download of an ebook, site updates or any other valid reason that they might wish to receive emails from your site. By placing a simple opt-in script on this page, you can build your own list to send email ads to. This is a time consuming way of doing it; however, and the length of time it takes to build a good list depends on the amount of traffic you get, return visitors and your conversion rate.

There are many listbuilding websites and services that you can use. Some are productive and others are not, while some are free and others charge to be part of. I find that there are a few free listbuilding tools that offer great conversion and will pass these along to you here. The best way to join a program like this is to have a separate email address just for the emails you will receive. It makes it easier to read your emails to earn credits if you aren't having to sort through a variety of senders, which helps you in turn utilize your time in the most effective manner. I prefer services which award credits with viewed sites or emails, then in turn you convert these credits to emails of your own that can be sent to network members.

Be prepared to set up several different email addresses as you will need to use several of the good networks to email regularly as a free member. Here is a brief list of my favorite listbuilding sites/networks.
